Yesterday was that kind of day! It just was lot of little stuff that added up to a not so great day. I am kind of disappointed that I let it get to me. But I am glad that these kind of days are not all that common, and that I live a pretty good life!
I have a super idea that might result in something wonderful! I am in charge of coordinating the August challenge kit at Digitals. You participate in challenges, and get parts of a megakit for each challenge completed. I need to pick a theme, and would love to get your input!
August is one of those months without any holidays. I think I’ve decided against a school-themed kit as that might be more appropriate for another month (of which I am not in charge!) There is a theme for next month, but I don’t think I can tell that yet. 
Here are some ideas I’ve thought of:
- Under the sea
- Kids at play
- Mega-Birthday kit
So, here’s a little contest for you – leave me a comment about a theme you would like to see in a mega-kit or tell me why one of my ideas listed above is genius (LOL!), and I will enter you in a contest. I would go for a birthday kit. Everyone has birthday cards/layouts the could make, so it would have a wide appeal.
I think kids at play. Why? Because it has so many possibilities! It not only works for kids but for big kids at play too.
We ALL need more play in our life!!

well i have no kids, so the kids at play thing doesnt work that well for me. I would love to see a massive birthday kit, as this is something ive been looking for forever. And preferably not a kit totally themed towards kids...something for the oldies as well...ooh and preferably not too bright...every birthday kit ive found is always really bright, which again works great for the kids party pics, but not always great for older peeps!..sorry was that too much info? lol
Instead of kids at play. How about just at play. This way things like books, boats, etc could be included. Summer is about playing after all!
I don't know if you've made your choice yet, but I like the idea of Play combined with "dog days". You know, the hot, humid days of summer. You could incorporate play with some really cute dogs and maybe even other animals like cats, birds. Anyway, that's my suggestion. Have a great day!!!
Just saw this, thought I'd chime in even if you've already made your decision as the info could be useful for something else (or another time). I like the above suggestions of play and travel. Play doesn't have to be kids at play though but could include all types of play including scrapping. Another summer related idea is "Beat the Heat" which could include a variety of indoor and outdoor activities BBQ's, boating, spray parks, water fights, etc.
