In other news, I think I am the last person to know that when you fly, you have to pay for any luggage beyond your carry-on. It’s almost unbelievable! I recently booked tickets for our family to fly, and I saw the notice about that. Yikes! I think we will check at least one bag. The trade-off would be that I can bring my camera & camera gear. I also need to see if the girls’ car seats count as luggage.

I think the airlines added the fees just a few weeks ago. I am glad we do not have a large travel plans this summer.

That luggage surcharge is a real pain. Love the templates.
it's getting to the point that I might just prefer to WALK across the USA instead of fly. I think it would be cheaper and I could use the exercise.

The luggage fees were just added this spring. I don't know about the airline you are flying with but in Canada all the airlines count the car seats as luggage. We had to take car seats with us when we flew in 2005. Thankfully, in Canada there is not yet a luggage surcharge, since we have family on the other side of the country and fly every 2nd year to visit them.
